The Head: City Hall Administration and Secretariat is responsible and accountable for the overall functioning of the Unit. It is his responsibility to ensure that Administrative, Technical and Professional Support is efficiently and cost effectively provided to Council to enable it to take people drive discussions thereby ensuring that the customers in eThekwini are satisfied with Council Services. To provide an efficient and effective Secretarial Service to all output units.

MANAGER: SUPPORT SERVICES

The Manager: Support Services is responsible for the provision of a reliable, effective secretarial and administrative support service to the Office Bearers, Councillors, Senior Officials and to the Head City Hall Administration and Secretariat to enable fulfillment of their legislative obligations within the Municipality.

SENIOR MANAGER OFFICE BEARERS & MARKETING

Senior Manager: Office Bearers & Marketing is responsible for ensuring that Political Office Bearers are able to execute their functions in terms of their respective mandates and legislative requirements.  Ensures that the activities of the Office Bearers are properly marketed in the interest of the Council.

MANAGER: SECRETARIAT

The Manager: Secretariat is responsible for the provision of a secretarial and administrative service to Council and its Committees to enable it to function in a manner that promotes good governance in line with legislative requirements resulting in good governance for the people in the eThekwini Municipality area.

SENIOR MANAGER: SPECIAL PROGRAMMES

The Senior Manager: Special Programmes is responsible to provide special programmes and co-ordinating services to the Mayor, Speaker, Chief Whip and City Manager’s Office’s to enable them to undertake their duties resulting in the Mayor, Speaker, Chief Whip and City Manager achieving their objectives.
